- 8 slices of your favorite sandwich bread
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Achha Cheddar Cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Achha Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
(For the filling)
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced red onion
- Sliced bell peppers
- Sliced olives
- Sliced beef pepperoni
- Fresh spinach or arugula
- Prepare the Spread: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix until well combined to make the spread for your sandwich.
- Assemble: Lay out 8 slices of bread and spread the prepared batter on one side of each slice.
- Cheese Layering: Take the sides without spreading and evenly layer the shredded Achha Cheddar Cheese and Achha Mozzarella Cheese according to your liking.
- Add Filling: You can add any of your favorite ingredients for extra flavor, like sliced tomatoes, red onions, bell peppers, olives, shredded chicken, or fresh greens like spinach or green onions. Spread these ingredients on top of the cheese layer.
- Bread Tops: Place the remaining slices of bread on top of the filling, with the buttered side facing outward.
- Grilling: Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-low heat. Carefully place the assembled sandwiches and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Press the sandwiches down gently to help the cheese melt and the sandwich to crisp up.
- Serve: Once the sandwiches are crispy and the cheese is stretchy and melted, remove them from the grill. Let it cool, then slice it diagonally.
